- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 5 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
- 5 years of experience in embedded systems and machine learning.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
- 3 years of experience in machine learning, computer vision, data infrastructure, and/or secure stack (e.g., secure world, Android or equivalent kernel, userspace).
- Experience delivering complex projects, managing product expectations, and making binding calls on shipping various features.
- Experience with biometrics, including the current landscape and implications.
- Experience leading large teams across multiple time zones and domains.
- Direct the engineering effort for biometric and sensor teams. Manage an existing set of products in biometrics and sensors, ensuring quality and timely releases, in addition to planning short-term improvements.
- Develop the multi-year evolution of this space to position products and teams in the right spot at the right time. Navigate a complex space on the intersection of research, software, and product.
- Set and communicate team priorities that support the organization's goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
- Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the organization's goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
