- Inspects space vehicle components, parts, and sub-assemblies for conformance to government and/or company standards and specifications.
- Inspects the adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to components, sub-assemblies, support equipment and final products.
- Will monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma/equivalent
- 6 years (level 3) or 10 years (level 4) of experience as a Quality Assurance inspector or equivalent role in either a system-level or integration & test environment
- U.S. citizen
- Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Fluent in the use of Microsoft applications and ability learn new computer programs/applications easily.
- Excellent technical writing skills are required.
- Must be able to read engineering documentation and inspect to drawings, part lists, inspection plans, and supplemental instructions.
- Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift activities and occasional overtime or weekend support is required.
- Previous experience working in ISO certified environment and using Process Specifications or Military Standards to inform inspection or work activities
- Strong work ethic and a good attitude - it should be evident from the output of work that the best possible effort was given.
- Personal initiative to become engaged in assigned work area without needing much direction from manager or team lead
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace workmanship standards for aerospace vehicle electrical harnesses, including crimping and/or soldering (e.g. IPC-A-620, NASA 8739 series, etc...)
- Knowledge of TipQA, Costpoint, MES, or other database applications
- Knowledge on how to read & interpret schematics and wire lists
- Active workmanship certifications from accreditation/standards companies (e.g. IPC)
- Technical Associates (2 year) degree from accredited institution
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
