Description Resource Parent Support About your Role The
Resource Parent Support works closely with the Foster Care Team to identify, license, and retain foster families for the region.
Does the Following Apply to You? - A Bachelor’s degree in a Human Service discipline from an accredited four-year college or university
- CPR and First Aid certified, or be willing to obtain certification before working with clients; and other duties as assigned
- Experience working with children/adolescents in a therapeutic, community-based treatment environment
- Attend weekly regional RPS team meetings
- Become certified to train all foster parent pre-service and post approval courses
- Provide Pre-Service and on-going foster parent training activities
- Maintain foster home compliance and paperwork (licensure requirements, home studies, background checks, monthly check-ins, quarterly compliance checks, re-assessments, etc.)
- Ability to work flexible hours consistent with program needs and work at multiple location
- Exemplary organizational, communication, mentoring, and teaming skills
- Sensitivity to other cultures and socioeconomic levels
