  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 14 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • 3 years of experience with data center equipment procurement at a cloud service provider company or data center equipment supplier.
  • Experience in influencing data sets using SQL or another programming/scripting language.
  • Experience building, developing, and leading a team.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience influencing business decisions through disciplined use of data.
  • Track record of partnership and collaboration across stakeholders.
  • Ability to take initiative in an unstructured environment and is comfortable with ambiguity.

Excellent at working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to address big picture challenges.You are both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners of the core Finance team as well as giving your own team the support they need to become financial experts. You'll keep management informed on key financial metrics and work to improve financial operation practices throughout your region. The Technical Infrastructure (TI) Finance mission is to partner cross-functionally drive optimal decision-making, provide insights for strategic and tactical decisions, and bend the cost curve down to provide Google with a competitive advantage. In this position, you will lead the Data Center Equipment Finance team, playing a key role in shaping supply chain strategy. You will drive efforts to ensure optimal use of Google capital to expand a rapidly growing data center footprint. This team partners closely with Data Center Equipment Supply Chain, Design, Construction, and Program Controls organizations. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $205,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Leverage technical expertise to autonomously deliver insights and make recommendations to optimize cash flow and drive cost savings.
  • Drive complex initiatives spanning multiple organizations; Identify the key metrics to measure success, set targets, and actively drive performance against those metrics alongside business partners.
  • Partner with engineering to influence design decisions to optimize cost, efficiency, and reduce supply chain complexity.
  • Lead work, develop, and build community for the Data Center Finance team.
  • Guide the development, automation and consolidation of financial tools to scale team.
