This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 7:30am – 4:00pm EST. Our office is located at 1 Guthrie Square Sayre PA 18840. We offer 6 weeks of paid training. The hours of training will be based on your schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment. Primary Responsibilities:
- Collect, verify and prep documents for the scanning process per department procedure
- Scan, verify and uploading of documents into electronic health record
- Perform clerical duties such as maintaining retrieving or scanning of all records, files and documents of importance
- Confirm commitment of all documents to the electronic health records
- Answer phone and assist caller or redirect to appropriate personnel for assistance
- Retrieve and file back paper charts, roll film or other items as requested in all areas of storage
- Assist others in completing tasks for timely completion of our essential functions
- Destroy/recycle scanned documents based on department destruction policy
- Mark patients active/inactive in care everywhere or deceased in electric record
- Pickup and delivery of patient records from designated locations
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- High School Diploma / GED
- 1+ years of experience work directly with medical records documents
- Ability to work our normal business hours of 7:30am – 4:00pm EST.
- 1+ years of experience processing protected health information
- Previous experience with an electronic health records
