Job Summary: We are seeking software engineering professionals to work onsite in our Aurora, CO location. https://careers.rtx.com/global/en/raytheon-aurora-co-location As a Ground System Software Engineer, you have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about. Our agile teams adapt to evolving customer and warfighter needs.  Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Develop software for cutting edge satellite ground systems with space network ground segments and users around the world
  • Have a direct impact on the operation of new state of the art satellites that perform intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance for multiple customers. 
  • Full software lifecycle including design, development, test, delivery, and maintenance
  • Utilization of various technologies and techniques including Multi-Tiered Architectures, Amazon Web Services, Geospatial Visualization Tools, Digital Engineering, and Automation Frameworks that support advanced spacecraft missions
  • Work with modern DevSecOps development practices and utilize Agile processes
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance is required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience implementing object-oriented software using C++ and Java
  • Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Software Engineering processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented analysis and design
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Experience working within LINUX/UNIX operating systems
  • Experience working with applications in the AWS Cloud
  • Experience with microservices using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
