Date Posted:2024-04-22 Country:United States of America Location:HVT01: S&IS (FUS) - Vergennes 100 Panton Rd, Vergennes, VT, 05491 USA Position Role Type:Onsite Role Overview: Will provide Electrochemical metal finishing (anodize, chromate conversion, nickel plating) support to production.  Will also support epoxy varnish for fuel probes.  Overall goal to provide excellent quality, safety and efficiency to plating process in high rate aerospace manufacturing.   Primary Responsibilities:
  • Designs and plans layout of equipment to optimize the chemical and materials engineering processes
  • Performs laboratory studies of steps in the manufacturing of new products and tests proposed processes in small scale operations such as a pilot plant to ensure feasibility and viability
  • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques
  • Provides guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
  • Support yearly NADCAP certification
  Qualifications / Experience Needed: 
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

  • Demonstrated success in working across functions, organizations, and all levels of management

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
