This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. **This position may be filled by either a Principal Avionics RF Engineer - Materials and Process level or a Sr. Principal Avionics RF Engineer level based on the qualifications listed. The candidate will perform the SOW of an Avionics RF Engineer guiding the development of the architecture while coordinating with the Technical Lead. Essential Functions:
- Support of the verification of aircraft avionics and Prime Mission Equipment installations and aircraft certification documents such as SSOWs, PDIRs, and SCDs
- Providing engineering support for RF Performance Analysis
- Create aircraft system schematics to support air vehicle wiring diagrams
- Requirements development and analysis with the capability to support trade studies
- Informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements in lab, with the ability to troubleshoot hardware avionics equipment in a lab environment
- Manage suppliers, review, and analyze supplier design data, define functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration, and support test execution
- Support flight test activities and post flight data analysis, and resolution of flight test anomalies
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) related field with 5 or more years of engineering experience or MS with 3 years or more year of engineering experience or Ph.D.
- Active in-scope DoD Secret Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) to start
- Experience in Aerospace/Composites M&P
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) related field with 9 or more years of engineering experience or MS with 7 years or more year of engineering experience or Ph.D. with 4 or more years of engineering experience
- Active in-scope DoD Secret Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) to start
- Experience in Aerospace/Composites M&P
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Familiarity with composite pre-pregs, honeycombs, and adhesive materials; fabrication, assembly, and repair processes for aircraft composite structures, familiar with metallic materials and processes
- Experience providing engineering support for RF Performance Analysis
