    At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you’ll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation. Job Description:
    • Provide thought leadership and lead building the new services, maintain the existing services, coach junior members on the team, manage and evaluate new technologies with quick proof of concepts, and support applications in production.
    • Ensure commitments to the sprint are delivered in line with expectations of time and quality.
    • Develop scalable and reliable data solutions to move data across systems from multiple sources in real time as well as batch modes.
    • While implementing technical solutions using modern cloud solutions support residual legacy applications.
    • Understand business and establish strong partnerships with partners including Product Owners and Scrum Coaches.
    • Quickly learn new and legacy technologies and paradigms to deploy cutting-edge solutions.
    • Support applications, including providing fixes to production defects and making enhancements. Provide clear communication on the resolution of incidents.
    • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment.
    • Build using modern design patterns and architectural principles.
    • Responsible for managing unit and integration tests and developing automation tools for daily tasks as well as the development of high-quality, well-documented, and efficient code.
    • Work under limited direction Independently determine and develop approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion for adequacy in satisfying objectives.
    • Represent the organization as the principal customer contact on contracts and often perform in a project leadership role.
    • Responsible for Roadmaps, Trend analysis, resourcing, resource onboarding and other functions.
    • Position may be eligible for part-time telecommuting.
    Job Requirements Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent* in computer science, engineering, or related field, and five (5) years progressively responsible experience in a software development occupation. Experience must include:
    • Five (5) years working with complex SOA projects, APIs, Enterprise applications, J2EE, and XML Technologies.
    • Two (2) years of development experience producing REST APIs.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of:
      • Producing high quality design artifacts that cover all aspects of sound architecture.
      • Various Design Patterns and hands on experience of developing SOAP and RESTful services.
      • Ensuring that developer APIs and SDKs are defined to enable effective and timely delivery, meeting the requirements of the business, markets, prospects, and customers.
      • Using AMQ for building messaging related solutions.
      • SQL, XQuery & MQL database programming skills in working with Oracle & MongoDB Databases.
      • Jenkins, Artifactory, TeamForge GIT, and Bitbucket.
      • Microservices development and container technology.
      • Using Java presentation frameworks – Angular, STRUTS or similar frameworks, and JQuery.
      • Web Servers like WebLogic/Tomcat and using IDEs like Eclipse, JDeveloper etc.
      • Unit Tests using JUnit, build tools Ant/Maven and continuous integration services.
    *Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience evaluated by a professional credentials evaluation service to be the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree will be accepted. This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $127,000 - $191,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
