About the job The Google Platforms Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of Google’s cutting edge compute and storage machines to satisfy Google Data Center internal use and external Cloud customers. • Build up and lead the Mechanical and Thermal engineering team in support of Google’s server, storage, and machine learning platform development in Taiwan.
• Understand technology roadmaps and make sure the team is well positioned to support programs. Drive priorities and assignments of the team members.
• Work with the larger team to gather requirements and define high level architectures for future platforms. Collaborate with engineers across the team on design, and review and approve the detailed designs.
• Work closely with the Technical Program Manager team to create program plans and then provide technical leadership and direction on project development.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Product, and Deployment teams to produce designs and provide field support.
