Facebook seeks a highly motivated and experienced team player to serve as a Counsel on Facebook’s Compliance team. This position will play a key role in supporting Facebook's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements focused on global competition laws and in building, maintaining, and improving the compliance programs necessary to do so. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and to work on novel issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment. Associate General Counsel, Competition Compliance Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of company-wide competition compliance programs and initiatives
  • Support the development of compliance policies, processes, and training on complying with global competition laws
  • Support compliance with on-going regulatory reporting obligations
  • Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including first-line teams and second-line legal risk management teams to coordinate compliance programs and initiatives
  • Undertake special projects and support other compliance program initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:
  • J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
  • 8+ years of experience at a law firm, government, or in-house as a practicing attorney
  • Experience working in a formalized compliance organization (e.g. 3LOD, documenting risks/controls, etc.)
  • Experience with antitrust/competition compliance design and implementation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Work experience at an internet or technology company
  • Experience collaborating and advancing projects in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Experience explaining topics and gaining support and consensus from multiple stakeholders
