The Pioneer Group, a Hearst Newspaper Company, has an immediate opening for an experienced Bindery Operator to support the printing of four daily newspapers as well as commercial web offset printing. This is a day shift role and when not running a stitcher you will be trained on Ink Jet Mailing, and Inserter machine operation.
Responsibilities
- Muller-Martini Saddle stitcher machine operation
- Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting,
- Machine repair
- Cross-training and staff scheduling
- Packaging, and skid loading
Qualifications
- high school diploma.
- 1+ years’ experience operating a Stitcher-Trimmer
- Current hold or able to obtain a forklift license.
- Experience with mechanical troubleshooting.
- A sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong math skills
- Team player and crew leadership
