We are looking for Backend Software Engineers to join our Ads team!
As a Backend Software Engineer, Ads team at SoundCloud, you’ll be helping us build our next-generation API platform for our user experience applications. We are a cross-functional, collaborative, high-impact team that works with large-scale Scala microservices. Help us develop and modernize our platform by adopting newer technologies and concepts (Go, NodeJS/Typescript).
You have solid backend engineering skills and are motivated to create service frameworks with top-notch performance and reliability. You have experience in bringing backend services to production. You can track and showcase the tangible business impact of your work. You are proficient in programming languages like Scala, TypeScript, Java, or Go. You understand infrastructure challenges and have a keen eye for improving them. You're proactive and have experience collaborating closely with other teams. You enjoy crafting simple solutions to complex engineering problems and can communicate them effectively. You're an independent thinker who thrives in a tight-knit team. You're committed to the products you work on.

Prior experience with microservices, Scala, automated testing, and continuous delivery are all highly valued. Experience in AWS or GCP cloud-services, as well as technologies such as Typescript, GraphQL, Kafka, and data processing pipelines is a plus.
