Job Details

Job Description
  1. Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.

  2. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting following company policies and procedures.

  3. Manage and review accounting transactions (general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation)

  4. Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.

  5. Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and initiatives (collaborate with FPA & Operations for budget tracker, and Capex tracker )

  6. Support in the implementation of accounting software upgrades or new systems.

  7. Handle special projects and ad hoc requests as assigned by management.

  8. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policy, tax regulations, and industry-specific guideline

  9. Review standard cost for new items, and validate  item mapping as per nature daily

  10. Performing month-end cost accounting close and ensuring all deadlines are met (month-end schedule cut-off, liaising with Costing, Wh, and Ops team )

  11. Support in review for costing  journal and report ( cost of  good manufacture & cost of goods sold reports)

  12. Responsible for managing the hardcopy/ supporting document with proper and tidy filling.

  13. Responsible for participating and providing data/ reconciliation for statutory audit, tax audit, and internal audit


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.SAP, Oracle).

  • Good Microsoft Office skills especially in Excel

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Collaboration and teamwork
