Collins Aerospace Global Engineering & Technology Center in Puerto Rico (GETC-PR) is looking to hire a Platform Systems Engineer that is passionate about systems engineering and can thrive in a highly technical environment.

In this role you will participate in avionics engineering tasks that are associated with the design, development, integration, and test of platform and software applications.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. Candidate must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Learn and effectively use requirements capture, peer review, configuration management, and AGILE development tools.
• On-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness, and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
• Support requirements capture.
• Assist in decomposing customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system requirements.
• Support cross-functional team development which include customer stakeholders and domain engineers.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and 2 years prior relevant experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Basic experience with DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, and ALM tool suite
• Basic experience working within an aerospace related engineering development environment.
• Basic experience or knowledge of engineering/technology requirements capture and configuration management tools.
• Basic experience or an educational background covering requirements capture & definition, integration, verification & validation testing.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Robot and Jenkins.
