Nightwing is currently seeking a Capture Excellence (CX) Lead responsible for driving and overseeing a team of Capture Managers driving pursuits across the Fed-Civ and DoD Accounts. Primary responsibilities of this individual are to grow the business by continuously improving the win rate, increasing bid efficiencies and improving capture excellence across the Accounts.  

The CX Lead serves as the lead Capture Executive for top pursuits within the Accounts.  Additionally, the CX Lead is responsible for leading and instilling a winning culture within the Fed-Civ and DoD Accounts to increase overall win rates and achieve growth targets. The CX Lead ensures Fed-Civ and DoD Accounts utilize Nightwing standard and Nightwing streamlined capture and proposal best practices, processes, tools and resources by driving and coaching Fed-Civ and DoD Account capture teams. The CX Lead is responsible for tailoring our capture processes to meet unique needs of the Fed-Civ and DoD Accounts’ Go-To-Market strategy to include leveraging product catalogs and aligning to an Account Team organization and CONOPS. The CX Lead is responsible for all competitive pursuits within Fed-Civ and DoD Accounts, improving capture and proposal discipline throughout the Accounts and driving capture excellence and continuous improvement across the capture lifecycle.

The CX Lead is responsible for attracting, recruiting, and developing capture managers. The CX Lead will provide direct engagement on Fed-Civ and DoD captures to mature win strategies, drive captures, improve Pwin, and improve core competency of assigned Capture Managers.

The CX Lead is responsible for developing and deploying NBI efficiency improvements to increase overall efficiency without impacting PWin.

The CX Lead is responsible for maintaining ongoing communication and information exchange with the Nightwing Fed-Civ and DoD Account Executives, the Nightwing Chief Growth Officer, and Nicole wallBusiness Unit VPs to report status, address resource needs, improve coordination and facilitate sound business decisions.   

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration /Management or a related Engineering discipline

Must have a Secret Clearance

Minimum of 15 years demonstrated capture management experience, business development, strategic planning and program management experience

At least 10 years of direct experience with Federal/Civil agencies operating in multiple markets

Successful at winning large (>$100M) capture efforts within Fed-Civil and DoD agencies

Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in stressful business situations

Must demonstrate agile decision making, strategic thinking and ability drive the team to results.  

Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within and as lead and influence high performing teams; a highly motivated self-starter

Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring of individuals and teams

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Must be available to travel as necessary

Desired Skills:

MS or MA degree in Computer Science and Management

Familiarity with Nightwing businesses, policies, and practices

Experience working in a commercial product or services company

Senior level experience with Fed-Civ and DoD agencies operating in multiple markets or equivalent corporate business experience

Demonstrated networking abilities among various communities, e.g. acquisition officials/leads in the Fed-Civ and DoD markets and industry partners/competitors

Experience working with complex acquisition processes

Maintain Focus on Customer/Mission while balancing winning the “evaluation”

Ability to appropriately tailor a process to each specific capture and to focus on those activities that positively impact the outcome while not sacrificing those items critical to internal communication and requirements.

The salary range for this role is 171,000 USD - 343,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
