Title: Staff Software Engineer

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)

Duties: Participate in reviewing code written by team members to ensure it meets quality and coding standards. Create comprehensive documentation, including code comments, and technical specifications and foster a culture that promotes clean, well-organized, testable, and reusable code. Architect and build new features pushing forward product roadmap. Work with our Systems Architect and other product tech team leads on the integration of the product into the Issuer product eco-system. Work with the team, technical and product leadership to come with technical design and estimates. Work with the team under agreed upon deadlines to design, build, and deliver new features and defect resolutions. Collaborate with Product Owner on requirements, story reviews, sprint planning. Participate in investigation and fixing of production support incidents related to technical, scalability, performance and environment issues.. Manage code changes and collaborating with team members using version control system: Github. Identify and address performance bottlenecks. Implement security measures to protect software from vulnerabilities and cyber-threats. Telecommuting permitted (100% telecommuting position. Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field plus four (4) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Consultant or in a related IT position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: providing technical support, including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving defects in production, UAT, and stage environments; applying knowledge of multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment; working with React.js, Angular.js, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Elastic Search, Linux, Docker, and AWS; using build tools and version control systems, such as NPM and GIT; applying knowledge of API design and development; working with Postman, Kibana, and WebStorm; and working with Jira, Confluence, and GitHub. Telecommuting permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.)

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $169,229 to $221,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
