JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a key member of the Performance Materials regional leadership team (PMAP LT),The Commercial Head China reports directly to the Senior Director of Performance Materials APAC, and assumes responsibility for overseeing overall commercial initiatives and driving outsized growth across Greater China. This role involves managing a team comprised of Sales, Business Development, and Customer Services, and collaborating closely with regional marketing functions, including product management and segment development, to foster a seamless commercial flywheel.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commercial Leadership:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for PM China to drive revenue growth, improve market share, and enhance profitability.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Engage with end users to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

  • Provide sales teams with the necessary tools, resources, and support to achieve their targets.

  • Implement and track metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives.

  • Lead and influence key stakeholders to align sales strategies and collaborate effectively to achieve business objectives.

 

Finance and Governance:

  • Oversee financial commitments, ensuring alignment with AOP/IOP goals and organizational budgets

  • Establish a regular cadence for reviewing financial performance and making necessary adjustments.

  • Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards to monitor performance against strategic objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations and governance standards.

 

Organization and Culture:

        •        Refine the commercial organization for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

        •        Attract, retain, and develop talent within the team.

        •        Foster a culture of customer-centricity, agility, simplicity, and togetherness.

        •        Role model and promote Avery Dennison’s Code of Business Ethics and Values.

 

Enablement and Excellence:

        •        Evaluate and refine sales processes, tools, and techniques to drive continuous improvement.

        •        Utilize data analytics to track competitor information and customer insights to inform sales strategies.

        •        Evaluate and recommend sales technology solutions to enhance sales productivity and decision-making capabilities.


Qualifications


 •        Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA is advantageous.

 •        Minimum 8-10 years of sales and management experience in the B2B industry within matrixed and sizable organizations, preferably in industries such as automotive or electronics.

•        Proven success in sales and business development resulting in top-line growth, particularly in specialty business sectors.

•        Results-driven with a focus on swift execution of objectives.

•        Proficient in a matrix organization with excellent communication and influencing skills, both verbal and written English proficiency.

•        Strong customer focus with the ability to champion and challenge fast response solution development.

•        Excellent organizational & people management skills, with the passion to build collaborative and high-performing teams.

•        P&L experience is advantageous.

•        Above all, demonstrate a high level of integrity and ethics.
