Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Senior Consultant – Product (Technical) (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to

 

  • Deliver strategic programs that impact the way the company develops core business, value-added, and internally used software products.
  • Manage and deliver cross-functional/cross-department programs, including proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate and adopt new technologies, new software product development, new or enhanced software delivery methodologies, technology re-platform, and modernization of existing systems.
  • Conduct business process and software product planning, prioritization, delivery commitment, risk management, and resource management.
  • Lead the delivery of program requirements.
  • Collect and analyze the requirements for new changes to existing technology and business processes.
  • Identify impacts to the company’s developed software products and/or software development methodologies.
  • Work with engineers to establish the actions and teams needed to implement the scope of work.
  • Map business processes to software and expertly orchestrate sequencing of software development, hardware environment, testing, information security compliance, production release, and post-production software support where needed to implement the program requirements.
  • Configure software planning and delivery management tools (such as Jira Align and Jira) to map and systematically track the complex interactions between business requirements, cross-functional teams, such as system operations, hardware infrastructure, and cybersecurity, and software modules that maybe impacted by the program requirements.
  • Manage the system and software product development lifecycle, ensuring system performance, stability, scalability, sustainability, system and information security, and that system functionality meets customer requirements.
  • Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field, followed by 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related business analyst, product analyst, or project analyst occupation.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a related business analyst, product analyst, or project analyst occupation.
  • Technical product and program management
  • Analysis and visualization of program management data using Excel analysis and graphical functions.
  • Driving large scale software product delivery across multiple teams
  • Software development methodology
  • Software development tracking and delivery process management tool, such as JIRA
  • Software product management, including requirements analysis, strategic roadmap planning, and product development

Additional Information

Worksite: Austin, TX

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

 

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

 

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $120,162.00 USD to $191,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
