We are looking for “Hub Transformer Failure Analysis Expert”, who will be able to demonstrate knowledge at Hitachi Energy in Dudullu with below qualifications.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support APMEA Hub transformer factories (Distribution and Dry) in test failure and field failure analysis.
  • Develop expertise in general in all areas of transformer field failures and more specific to following areas:
  • Oil DGA analysis
  • Protection system analysis (analysis of disturbance records, failure event log, relay setting etc.…)
  • Support factory quality teams in preparation of RCAs, writing reports, and presenting to customer. Support the analysis by using relevant international standards as well as technical publications.
  • Prescribe required diagnostic tests and analysis of test results.
  • Visit transformer installation sites for on-site inspection and collecting information about field failure
  • Adopt and follow systematic approach for problem solving and RCA using Hitachi Energy tools such as lean six sigma, Ochibo Hiroi approach.
  • Work on specifically assigned projects (problem solving, deployment of new initiatives, audits, etc.…) related to various product lines and factories within Hub APMEA
  • Support in data collection, KPI analytics, knowledge sharing, trainings and coaching within Hub.
  • Represent the voice of customer within local teams, Challenge the teams with customer experience feedback and input to decisions.
  • Enable and coach employees to evaluate risks, problems, and solutions from customer/stakeholder point of view.

Your Background:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering .
  • 15 years’ experience in Engineering /Quality/Service in transformer business. Candidate with experience in transformer electrical design (5 years or more) will be preferred.
  • Understanding of different cultures, networking approach & excellent ability to guide, coach and mentor others.
  • Fluent written and spoken English matched with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and systemic problem-solving skills with clear passion to develop and change self and others
  • Experience in writing reports and technical documentation (Ex: RCA)
  • Understanding of substation protection system design aspects
  • Strong customer-orientation as well as high motivation to bring improvements in Quality (Customer Focus & Quality)
  • High personal integrity.
  • Structured and well-organized working attitude; open-minded for new ideas and suggestions
  • Flexibility, around 15% travel requirement
  • Experience in working with teams with divers geographical and cultural background
