Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Manager (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers responsible for software prototyping, experimentation platforms, and early product development.
• Lead and work with the team to productionize research solutions and contribute to the long-term research agenda, as well as deliver innovative technologies and insights to Visa's strategic products and business.
• Research and build, from ideation to implementation, seamless, fast, reliable, and secure payment solutions.
• Interact with different stakeholders, senior executives, research scientists, software engineers and architects, as well as external parties (e.g., technology vendors, wallet providers, merchants, issuers, and senior product regional managers) to discover opportunities, propose research opportunities, create research plans, and execute and implement the ideas.
• Work in tight collaboration with research scientists, product engineering, product management, and operations to ensure business effectiveness and consistency of products.
• Design, develop, and implement new applications and enhancements to existing programs and subprograms, as well as new programs and subprograms, and assist with modifications and corrections to existing software.
• Participate in design activities, testing frameworks, including unit testing, and other items (e.g., coding software solutions, troubleshooting and conducting root cause analysis) contributing to core product code development.
• Up to 5 % domestic travel is required.
• Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field and five years of experience in job offered or in a computer related occupation.
• Designing and Implementing large distributed systems using C# and .Net Framework Class Libraries.
• Mobile Application Development on Android and iOS platforms using Java, Objective-C and Swift Programming Languages.
• Designing & Implementing Object-Oriented Programs using C/C++ Language.
• Developing Client and Service Side Modules for Web Applications using ASP.NET MVC 5.
• SDLC, Functional Decomposition, Design Patterns, Testing Frameworks.
• Developing SOAP and RESTful Web Services using Java.
• JavaScript, jQuery, HTML 5, CSS, JSON, and XML.
• Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, RocksDB, or Redis.
• MongoDB, HBase, Cassandra, Hive or Firebase.
• Cryptographic algorithms, secure multi-party computation, homomorphic encryption, and authentication, and payments and cryptocurrencies.

Worksite: Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: Up to 5 % domestic travel is required.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $191,755.00 USD to $243,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable).
