General Information:
We are looking for an Service Sales Engineer for our Transformers Service Business Unit, in Geneva (Switzerland). Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager you will support the defined Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process in the assigned area.
You will be part of the Sales Team that focuses on Power Transformer Service in Switzerland with particular responsibility for the Swiss German market. As Service Sales Engineer, it is your exciting tasks to facilitate the energy transition by a cutting-edge product and service portfolio. In this team, you will work with international peers having many years of experience within the power transformer service business. Based in Baden, CH or Geneva, CH, the role will assume responsibility for the swiss german utilities, industries and energy infrastructure customers
Your Responsibilities
Supporting the Sales team and customers throughout the sales process, while developing new and existing business by increasing internal and external knowledge of products and markets
Preparing technical offer in accordance with Unit portfolio and customer need. Clarifying technical and commercial aspects of the offer
Participating in sales strategy discussions, assigning short- and long-term goals and negotiating the various Product Group sales budgets and marketing plans
Identifying customer needs and competitor offers through market analysis, ensuring efficient marketing actions and communications demonstrate the value proposition of the products, systems, service and packages
Supporting the area Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and providing technical support, product presentations and product/solution/service-related training
Taking ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient customer issue resolution and analyzing the root cause of any lost proposals, to increase future competitiveness
Performing sales performance reviews, proposing recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls and providing regular sales activity reports to assist in production planning

Achieve the yearly targets for Transformer Service Sales and portfolio expansion
Training for the first 3-6 months in our Transformer Factory & Transformer Service Center (Geneva, CH)
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
More than 2 years of experience in direct sales and sales management
Sound knowledge of Hitachi Energy products and services, and the power generation market
Fluent German, French and English, both written and spoken
Experience in business development, account management and cross-selling across systems, solutions, products and service categories
Understanding of offer preparation, contract negotiation, risk management and commercial and legal terms
Prospecting, developing, and closing deals with utilities, industries and energy infrastructure customers
Traveling within Switzerland and European Union (internal power transformer factories). Frequent interaction with customers and HITACHI Energy Swiss Front-End-Sales Team are expected
Job located in Switzerland in Baden, CH (or in Geneva, CH)
Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, customer-focused mindset and a professional, “can-do” attitude
Working with Sales Tools and MS Office. Knowledge of SalesForce.com is a plus
