Job Description
The Laser Print Operator will set up, adjust, operate, and troubleshoot digital laser printers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include but may not be limited to the following:
Minimizes waste or misuse of raw materials.
Performs laser print functions by following daily job schedules.
Completes different tasks on multiple printers within the assigned shift.
Keeps the work order system up-to-date at all times.
Ensures quality standards for laser print and finished labels are being met.
Helps the other members of the team meet production deadlines.
Places service calls with Xerox for the DP135 and 5252 printers.
Keeps accurate records of jobs printed within the log book on the printer.
Performs distribution functions when needed.
Maintains the inventory levels of preprint items within the production area.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The job requires standing over 2/3 of the time on a daily basis.
Requires daily lifting up to 50 lbs.
Requires close vision (at 20 inches or less) and color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) for quality control standards.
Uses hands to finger, handle or feel over 2/3 of the time daily. Reaches with hands and arms.

Qualifications
2 years previous laser print experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and at least 2 years’ previous laser print experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience with and certification for Xerox iGen digital printers and/or Xerox DP series printers, along with strong production machine set-up, operating, and troubleshooting experience.

Hours: 1:00PM - 9:30PM
