As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our software products and services. You will be responsible for ensuring successful completion of SW development resulting in product(s) that has completed Software Integration Testing and is ready to proceed to formal validation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, working with other engineering stakeholders to design, implement, and validate completion of the software product(s).
This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.
What YOU will do:
- You will design, develop, and maintain new software functionality.
- You will work with previously written code and make modifications as necessary.
- You will work closely with other disciplines (systems and test engineers) to troubleshoot and fix problems.
- You will contribute to the completion of program and project milestones.
- You will manage SW processes and procedures, development, documentation and maintenance/management of operations concepts, requirements (software level), external and internal interfaces, and other software engineering work products/artifacts.
- You will implement and champion the principles of the Agile process ensuring agile methodologies are followed.

Education & Experience:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications you must have:
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- 6 years working experience in object-oriented software design and development.
- 4+ years working in an Agile environment.
Skills we value:
- Experience with requirements derivation and testing.
- Experience with software execution throughout the entire software life cycle (preliminary design through maintenance phases).
- Software and system-level debugging experience including the ability to identify problems in established code and make modifications as necessary; Debug existing software and correct defects.
- Experience with Front-End Web Development using modern technologies including Vue.js, JS, HTML5, CSS3, NodeJS, React, other.
- Experience with Apache NiFi, Bootstrap, Database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Mongo, ElasticSearch, etc..).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud.
- Experience with Kafka, REST Api, WebSocket, DDS.
- Experience with ESRI.
- Experience with the Linux shell scripting, python, perl and basic CLI tools such as grep, awk, sed, ssh, & scp.
- Experience with marshalling/unmarshaling XML/JSON into POJOs.
- Experience and knowledge related to software discipline process development and deployment (Agile, Kanban, Waterfall).
- Experience with code analysis tools such as JUnit, and Coverity.
- Experience related to ISR Satellite Ground Systems and/or UAS Ground System Operations.
- Experience integrating software (modules, components, subsystems, COTS, FOSS).
- Experience with UML design modeling in modeling tools such as CAMEO, requirements tools (DOORs), Configuration Management tools (Git, Subversion, Artifactory).
