Hitachi Energy is looking for an Expert in Labour and Social Security to strengthen our Team in Switzerland!

In this function you consult the HR Business Partners, Central HR Functions and, people leaders as well as the local Management in daily business as well in strategic activities.

In this role, you will advise the HR Business Partners, the central HR functions, the executives and the local management in day-to-day business and on strategic topics. In cooperation with other HR functions and the legal department, you will ensure compliance with our internal guidelines as well as the applicable regulations in Switzerland and neighboring countries.

Your responsibilities

  • Advising HR Business Partners, central HR functions, executives and management on all aspects of employment and social security law (including questions relating to Swissmem's individual and collective employment agreement)
  • Responsibility for the content of the regulations in connection with the social plan
  • Negotiation with the employee council at company level, as well as support of HR business partners in negotiations with local employee councils 
  • Development of contracts, recommendations for action and directives with tailor-made solutions for the day-to-day business under labour law 
  • Employment law support in local and global HR projects 
  • Member of the local HR team and co-creation of the labor law framework  
  • Support of the business units in M&A transactions
  • Social security issues and regulations relating to cross-border commuters and frequent travellers (A1, CoC, SUVA, etc)  
  • Identification of improvement potentials in end-to-end processes based on customer feedback, as well as own experiences and driving corresponding process improvement activities, initiatives and projects 
  • Advice on labour law clarifications

Your background

  • 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position in the HR environment recommended
  • Expertise in the field of Swiss social security and insurance laws (AHV, IV, EO, BVG, UVG, etc.) 
  • Expert knowledge in the field of Swiss labour law and CLA  
  • Solid knowledge of international social security laws and regulations 
  • Independent and reliable way of working with strong communication and analytical skills 
  • Very good knowledge of all MS Office products (especially Excel) 
  • Good knowledge of Workday 
  • Fluent knowledge of German and English is a prerequisite (French and/or Italian is an advantage)
