Job Description :
The Missile Assembly and Disassembly Technician will provide onsite Patriot missile technical support to Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces (RSADF) personnel responsible for processing/testing/repairing of Patriot PAC-2 missiles and subassemblies at the RSADF MADF to maximize RSADF readiness. The MADF Tech will perform Patriot missile assemble, disassembly, removal, and canning, in addition to testing procedures and operations. The individual will also perform packaging operations and electronic data entry. The MADF Tech will aid and advise RSADF with facility operations and assist as required with workflow and daily operational needs in relation to PAC-2 missile and subassembly test, assembly, disassembly, and repair, based upon USG policy and guidelines within the (Field Surveillance Program Management Plan, Product Assurance Plan (PA Plan), Configuration Management Plan (CM Plan), and SPMF Operational Procedures). This activity will include advising on safety and best practices, participating as a team member in any assessments of the facility and equipment, assisting with documentation of issues and processes, and developing resolutions for any issues found.
The MADF Technician will assist with movements of assets and equipment management in the storage areas and the facility and will assist and make recommendations concerning the usability of chemicals in supply based on the manufacturer’s expiration date. This individual will also maintain communications with the MADF TA Lead regarding any issue or challenges, as well as providing the Lead with on time updates and processes.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of daily operations in a Patriot Missile Facility (PMF) or a Missile Assembly and Disassembly Facility (MADF)
Must possess the “hands on” ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and calibrate all PMF or MADF equipment Knowledgeable of general manufacturing processes with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience interpreting engineering requirements from product data models, drawings, parts lists and specifications
Able to demonstrate a high level of mechanical hands-on abilities to perform or assist in missile assembly and test along with repairing non-operating tools and equipment
Strong hands-on assembly / disassembly / troubleshooting skills of mechanical, electrical, industrial and/or home equipment and products
Must possess the “hands on” ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair all patriot missile malfunctions
Required Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field and minimum of five (5) years’ experience at a PMF or MADF, or a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Associates degree or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Requires expert or mastery level knowledge of work area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have deep knowledge of project management. Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs or systems.
