Job Details

The Tax Manager - International Tax will report directly to the Head of Tax – Asia Pacific (“Head of Tax”). As a member of the Corporate Tax team located in Singapore, the Tax Manager will primarily be responsible for managing the tax compliance in our region, driving tax initiatives and technology, reviewing tax processes, helping with tax audits in the region and supporting the business teams in tax matters,. This role will collaborate and work closely with the indirect tax team, accounting and other finance and business functions.

Tax Manager - International Tax (Asia Pacific) Responsibilities:
  • Manage the tax compliance and reporting requirements for the Asia Pacific region – including the review of tax returns, tax payment calculations, tax forecasts, and deferred tax calculations, as well as technical analysis in support of statutory audit.
  • Maintain oversight and co-ordination of tax compliance activities outsourced to external service providers
  • Assist in the implementation of tax technology
  • Ensure transfer pricing obligations (e.g. documentation) are fulfilled under local transfer pricings laws and regulations
  • Support and assist with the quarterly tax accounting and reporting. This includes the calculation and tracking of quarterly / year-end transfer pricing corrections and Uncertain Tax Positions
  • Assist and manage tax audits in the region
  • Work with the Head of Tax to support the business teams in any tax issues
  • Establish a strong relationship with the regional business teams, finance, legal and policy leaders to share tax views and information.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Law
  • 10 or more years of relevant APAC tax experience – tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax advisory and tax controversy
  • Strong analytical, organization, documentation, research and project management skills
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex business/ tax information
  • Ability to work as a team and interact with personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, meticulous, and ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preferably with both commercial experience and exposure in Big 4 Accounting firm
