Embark on an exciting journey with Collins Aerospace as a Quality Engineering Co-Op. In this role, you'll work closely with experienced Quality Engineers and Quality Control teams, gaining practical experience in developing and implementing strategies that ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This co-op provides a deep dive into quality engineering, process improvement, and risk management within the aerospace industry.

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers to develop and implement quality initiative strategies.
  • Monitor and enhance internal processes using continuous improvement tools like DMAIC, SPC control charts, and Poka-yoke.
  • Assist in escape management procedures, including containment and root cause analysis.
  • Support the creation and execution of testing plans to ensure product reliability while working with Design, Operations, and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Identify and manage risks in new product development using core elements of PPAP, such as PFMEA and Control Plans.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new inspection technologies and methodologies, ensuring product conformance through advanced techniques like vision and laser scanning.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable STEM discipline.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
