Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.    

Mission Statement:

Project Engineering focuses on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project including: Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc. Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project. May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors An Entry Professional (P1) applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. May require the following proficiency: Work is closely supervised. Problems faced are not typically difficult or complex. Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.

Your Responsibilities:

• Identifying key R&D KPI's and monitor the progress. Identifying and analyzing risk, prepare mitigation plan

• Knowledge on ISO Standards and Six Sigma concepts. Co-ordinating process audits and follow up on action plan.

• Preparing process flow or procedure or guidelines and formats. Knowledge on Lean Principles.

• Working closely & drive team towards implementation of process improvements.

• Ability to work independently, as well as in teams and shows readiness to take new initiatives. To imbibe Quality culture through regular interactions with stakeholders.

• Leading and coordinating the quality activities across PGTR business.

• Support in mapping of R&D processes – creation of the process maps (e.g. in Adonis)

• Analyze results of Skills Mapping, preparing reports, results. Utilizing Power Tools (Power APP | BI | Automate) and Sharepoint for KPI collection, NDA, TSA etc

• Create and maintain R&D Quality training materials. Collect and maintain R&D Quality& TC NPS and feedback.

Your background:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or related discipline and at least 5 years of related working experience

• 5 years of experience in R&D Quality & OpEx, with knowledge on ISO 9001, 7 QC Tools, QMS & Handling FMEA

• 3 years of experience with Power Tools (Power APP | BI | Automate) and SharePoint development for KPI collection, NDA, TSA etc

• Ability to quickly grasp concepts from a field that is not one's core competency; A fast learning generalist capable of solving problem independently and resourceful in matrixed corporate environment.

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
