Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience with computer architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with emulation platforms, FPGAs, or silicon bring up or RTL waveform analysis or simulation.
  • Experience in performance bottleneck analysis of advanced extensible interface (AXI) interconnects and Direct Memory Access (DMA) engines using hardware performance monitors.
  • Experience with hardware accelerators for embedded processors.
  • Experience with software debug tools(gdb), hardware debug tools (JTAG/TRACE32).
  • Experience with Android, Embedded Linux, Little Kernel.

In this role, you will develop and execute a performance validation plan for multi-media imaging Intellectual Property(IP) of Google's mobile SoC. The validation plan goals an in-house bare-metal/embedded environment for both pre and post-silicon. You will need to have a background in embedded programming, computer architecture and preferably camera imaging pipeline/mobile SoC design.

Responsibilities
  • Work with architects and performance verification lead to develop emulation and post-silicon verification plans to ensure the performance quality of the product.
  • Become familiar with the programming model for at least one IP in a custom SoC. Develop and validate the functionality of benchmarks required by the performance verification plans.
  • Execute the performance testing plans in emulation and on silicon with the developed benchmarks.
  • Debug any discovered performance issue by facilitating hardware performance monitors and analyze collected performance stats with architects.
