About the job

The processor architecture team integrates design, fabrication, and hardware improvements into flagship quantum processors. The flagship processor’s aggregate performance critically relies on components including: coherence, single and two qubit gate performance, readout, parametric yields, etc.

As a research scientist on this team, you will integrate improvements in design, fabrication, and the hardware system into flagship processors through firsthand experimentation and also collaborating with subteams certifying new technology proof of concepts. You will be responsible for interfacing with the team working on high fidelity gates on our superconducting qubit processors. You will design, execute, and collaborate on experiments to identify or mitigate limiting error mechanisms in integrated processors.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.
