POSITION SUMMARY

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for managing and leading continuous improvement initiatives by supporting continuous improvement in all areas of operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage initiatives that support the continuous improvement strategy in partnership with department stakeholders.

  • Facilitate equipment, procedures, and process studies to discover potential improvement opportunities throughout operations.

  • Manage project timelines and proactively identify solutions in a timely manner.

  • Provide Lean continuous improvement training materials and sessions to employees to support company initiatives and employees’ personal growth.

  • Teach others to lead improvement efforts, including training on effective tools for successful project leadership.

  • Lead and coordinate 5S initiatives plant-wide. Own the development of plant 5S standards in offices, labs and production areas.

  • Provide appropriate documentation and project update communication to Operations Leadership. Collaborates will all departments and individuals affected by CI projects.

  • Work cross departmentally with business leaders to develop and implement data gathering techniques to identify and rank opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate and participate in training on Kaizen, 5S, Root Cause Analysis and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

  • This position has food Safety Responsibilities.

  • Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.

  • Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • This position currently has supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Management or related field required.

  • 5-10 years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment is required (Green Belt preferred)

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience leading CI Projects in a CPG environment

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet software and MS Office Suite and full knowledge of Lean Concepts.
