We are now looking for a Quality Assurance Manager at Hitachi Energy, Transformers business in Vaasa. You will support the definition and implementation of actions to improve quality and operating efficiency in the value chain, to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment within the local business. In this role, you will also have a small and experienced team to lead.   

Your responsibilities

• Leading quality assurance team and activities.
• Performing and planning quality inspections.
• Analyzing problem root causes independently and together with experts.
• Participating supplier and customer quality audits.
• Monitoring and developing supplier quality.
• Promoting quality and continuous improvement development by walk-the-talk method.

Your background

• You hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Master of Science.
• Experience of quality and/or manufacturing function is preferred.
• Fluency in Finnish and English is required, both written and spoken.
• Demonstrated team building skills would be a preference.
• Willingness to travel (couple of times in a year).
