ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

The Business Development Manager identifies, evaluates and manages new business opportunities and market initiatives. This position establishes relationships with potential customers and connects the new customers with the appropriate resources. The incumbent will provide related market insights and industry trends, and work closely with PM, R&D & Sales to identify and evaluate opportunities to convert leads into sales.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Deep-dive business ecosystem for fruits which have short store period, typically less than one week including the business model & chains, packaging methods, logistics process, pain points and unmet needs on the value chain;

  • Establish connection and build deep corporation with fruit brand owners, supermarkets, sizable dealers or chanel stores to manage pipelines and develop business cases;

  • Establish business development strategy together with product manager and NRC based on customer needs and available technologies, including product development directions, value positioning, pricing strategy and service policy;

  • Lead the internal resources for focused visits and effective interactions, e.g. exhibition events, seminars. Identify, assess and develop new businesses from 0→1;

  • Regular collection of emerging new solutions by other players and sharpen our offering;

  • Closely work with partners and internal resources to secure supply, improve cost and execute business smoothly.

  • Bachelor’s degree and above. Knowledge in agricultural and microbiology is a plus;

  • 8+ years experience in supermarkets handling fruit related channels, in ecommerce platforms or in big fruit store channels with direct connection to ecosystem partners;

  • Experience in develop new business;

  • Can work under stress & ambiguity;

  • Good communication and presentation skills;

  • Strategic thinking and analytical mindset;

  • Can accept frequent business trips (40%~50%).
