Role Overview:

As the AI CoE (AI Center of Excellence) Manager, you will be actively shaping the AI strategy for the company, you will participate in AI initiatives within the organization by co-creating with the IT and business teams. Your role will be pivotal in driving the digitalization and innovation, leveraging AI to enhance business processes, improve customer engagement, and unlock new value streams. You will collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of AI technologies. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in AI initiatives in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to Hitachi Energy’s mission of advancing towards a decarbonized society by applying emerging information technologies. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and drive implementation of the AI strategy in alignment with the business goals and IT strategy.
  • Ability to identify strategic opportunities for AI, analyze data, interpret insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Provide best practices and technical guidance on AI technologies, including machine learning, data analytics, and cloud computing.
  • Ensure enablement, incubation and tracking of AI initiatives across the organization
  • Lead AI innovation initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with the overall business strategy and deliver measurable value.
  • Work closely with higher management, business units representatives, IT teams, and external partners to identify AI opportunities and develop solutions.
  • Drive cultural and organizational change to foster AI adoption and integration through webinars and trainings
  • Ensure AI solutions comply with laws and regulations and uphold the highest information security standards in collaboration with Cybersecurity and Legal departments

 

Your Background:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leadership roles involving AI or IT Automation technologies with a strong understanding of IT market dynamics, business operations, and customer insights within the energy ecosystem.
  • Good understanding of AI technologies, including Generative AI, and their applications. Ability to align AI strategies with business objectives and identify growth opportunities.
  • Proven experience in structuring and driving strategic projects. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies such as cloud services, hardware integration, cybersecurity, communication systems, and data analysis.
  • Excellent influencing, communication, stakeholder management and networking skills in an international, matrixed organization.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related experience field
  • Past working experience in large international manufacturing and engineering company is a significant plus. 
  • Knowledge of the energy market is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English.
