The Manufacturing IT at Hitachi Energy provide world class services to support the manufacturing processes across different disciplines of Hitachi Energy, ranging from machine control, execution system, scheduling, quality control and analytics. 

The Manufacturing IT at Hitachi Energy are looking for a Power BI Analyst Intern who will come onboard to help provide a guiding light in their use of PowerBI and support us in the representation of the real time purview of the manufacturing processes. This role will see you expand the business' data quality and usage and provide valuable end to end data reporting. This position operates alongside an experienced engineering team who will need an inquisitive talent for their implementation and expansion in the usage of PowerBI.

Your Responsibilities

• Data Integration using Extract/Transform/Load processes from SQL database

• Data Visualization and reporting using PowerBI Report Builder

• New feature development, testing and implementations related to task area

• Optimization of queries and reports to fetch and display data from SQL

• Updating documentation – methodologies, findings, and process

• Communication and collaboration with stakeholder on various levels of seniority

Your Background

• You are a university student graduating in summer 2025 or later (preferred majors - Data Science, Data Analysis, IT and Econometrics, Computer Science)

• You have knowledge of SQL and ETL processes

• You have knowledge of PowerBI and Report Builder

• You have good knowledge on MS office (especially Excel – formulas, macros)

• Basic knowledge of C# and Visual Studio will be an additional advantage

• Familiarity with XML will be an additional advantage

• Familiarity with Power will be an additional advantage

• You have strong analytical skills, attention to details and can think out-of-the-box

• You have good communication skills and you are a team player
