    Job Overview

    As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will coordinate the accurate filing of Relativity’s corporate tax filing and other related Business Tax filings. You will oversee tax compliance, monitoring of regulatory requirements, and other tax projects, as assigned. The Senior Tax Analyst works under general direction of the Tax Manager.

    At this time we are seeking candidates in the Chicago area.

    Job Description and Requirements

    Responsibilities 

    • Coordinate with internal departments and external service providers to ensure Relativity's worldwide income tax returns are filed in a timely manner. 
    • Maintain all Relativity income tax workpapers including, but not limited to, it's M-1 schedule, partnership allocations, and fixed assets. 
    • Develop relationships throughout the finance organization to increase understanding of the business and promote collaboration. 
    • Prepare ad hoc tax analyses and assist with other special projects as needed. 
    • Assist with Relativity's transfer pricing needs. 
    • Prepare reconciliations of all income tax accounts. 
    • Maintain direct tax calendar to ensure returns are filed on time. 
    • Provide support for the R&D tax credit studies. 
    • Support direct tax audits, respond to all regulatory agencies regarding support and documentation requests. 

    Requirements 

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required or equivalent experience 
    • Master’s degree in accounting or Tax (preferred but not required) 
    • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience  
    • Partnership Tax experience a plus 
    • Ability to analyze and solve problems in a timely manner with excellent communication and organizational skills 
    • Must be local to Illinois and/or within the Central Standard Time Zone 
    • Detail oriented, ability to meet deadlines 
    • Robust technology skills, using tax software and general ledger systems – preference for Avalara, Sage Intacct, Salesforce and Concur systems 
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
    • Ability to deliver results under pressure with competing priorities 
    • Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines 
    • Ability to function as a leader and team player

    This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

    The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

    $85,000 and $127,000

    The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
