- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience with the Search or Knowledge Engine (KE) stack and Front-end development.
- Experience in building Machine Learning (ML) models.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure designs and optimizations.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.
In this role, you will build products that will help people follow their favourite sports, teams and athletes on search. You will help users find sports information and content easily. You will help products in all stages of their lifecycle, including mature products with a massive user base and significant technical complexity, to new/experimental products in the prototype stage to cater to the evolving needs of the sports consumer.

- Provide technical leadership and manage a team that builds machinery to scale the Sports vertical and distinguishing features by leveraging Google's unique technical advancements.
- Evolve the charter of the team with a balanced portfolio of foundational investments, exploratory bets, and run the business priorties.
