What you'll do at Jamf:

The IT Asset Manager position is a key member of the Service Management Office (SMO) and will serve as the Process Owner for Jamf IT Asset Management. This person will be responsible for evolving and maintaining the IT Asset Management (hardware and software) program across the enterprise. The IT Asset Manager will also be responsible for collaboration between business stakeholders and IT teams.

What you can expect to do in this role:

  • Create, evolve, and implement asset management processes across the Jamf enterprise, particularly within Jamf IT (ETO)  
  • Develop and maintain IT asset databases within JAMF to ensure the health of the CMDB (Configuration Management Database)
  • Support software and hardware audits (internal and external)
  • Develop and maintain processes, policies, standards, systems, and measurements that help JAMF effectively manage the IT asset portfolio (software and technology-related hardware) with regard to cost, control, risk, and compliance
  • Asset Management Process and Continuous Improvement
  • Create and drive the strategy for JAMF IT Asset Management in collaboration with the Service Management Office and process owners, Enterprise Architecture, and Security, among other IT and business areas
  • Ensure quality control through the lifecycle of IT assets by developing and implementing appropriate procedures to track and manage the IT Assets
  • Safeguard a detailed inventory of hardware and software assets and apply the information gathered to enable immediate corrective action on vulnerabilities, strengthen policy/governance, support audits, understand the software spending and manage end-of-life/end-of-services risk avoidance
  • Create and maintain governance and support the interdependencies between ITAM (IT Asset Management), APM (Application Portfolio Management), and CMDB across the JAMF ServiceNow platform
  • Generate and distribute asset management reports for varying levels of key stakeholders, including compliance reports on current assets
  • Identify and champion continual service improvement opportunities, aligned with Jamf Business and IT goals for renewals, software licensing, and services
  • Educate, mentor, and train key stakeholders on best practice asset management processes
  • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and ability to work collaboratively and independently –sometimes in the sphere of ambiguity

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 7 years ITAM experience to include implementing new processes and functions within an IT organization, strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, Proven ability to effectively drive change (Required)
  • Minimum of 4 years IT Asset Management (hardware and software) experience (Required)
  • Minimum of 4 years ITIL practitioner experience (Required)
  • Minimum of 3 years of ServiceNow technology and ITAM module (Required)
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand the larger company strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex ideas and interdependencies
  • Managing complex projects and technical teams
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to prioritize data-driven decision-making
  • Strong technical and ITIL service management background
  • Lean practitioner certifications or training, as well as applicable experience in Continuous Improvement (Preferred)

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma / GED Equivalent (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • ITIL V3 or higher certification (Required)
  • Lean SixSigma certification or training, (Preferred)
  • A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered
