Staff Software Engineer at Realtor.com®

What You'll Do:
- Lead the design and implementation of solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Guide system architecture decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and high performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners—Product Managers, Designers, Analysts, and fellow Engineers—to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Mentor and support your teammates, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Experiment with new technologies, exploring ways to drive innovation.
- Take ownership of projects, working autonomously while aligning with broader team goals.
How We Work:
We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. For most roles, our employees work three or more days in our offices, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- 3+ years of contributing to architecture and design.
- Expertise in software development, with a strong desire to learn and adapt to the Realtor.com tech stack, including Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, NumPy, Pandas) and React.
- Experience with Node.js.
- Strong background in working with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with AWS and database systems is a plus.
- Proven track record of delivering customer value efficiently, with a focus on continuous feedback and improvement.
- Commitment to engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, and documentation.
