  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in either system design or in one programming language (Java, C++, Python, etc.).
  • 6 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
  • 6 years of experience in Android Development

Preferred qualifications:
  • 7 years of experience in conducting technical implementations of Android in mobile device ecosystems, and understanding the challenges between hardware and software integration.
  • Experience in mobile device/application development with understanding of Android security and permission model
  • Experience working with embedded systems. Familiarity with Linux kernel, device driver Application programming interface (API), chipset, and Android.
  • Effective communication and project management skills, with a track record of handling multiple customers and streams of work.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage new programs and policies to protect user privacy and security with cross-functional teams. This includes supporting Android Security Engineering, Google Play, Trust and Safety teams by providing them insights into OEM and hardware manufacturer challenges to drive solutions.
  • Manage OEM and manufacturer engagements to drive security and privacy feature adoption, and provide technical or administrative guidance on best practices of Android implementation on devices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders from engineering, strategy, operations, business development, and legal departments on initiatives designed to strengthen the Android ecosystem.
