At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are-with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways.
If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.
At Moody’s Analytics, we empower our customers to make better, faster decisions. We do so by providing research, data, analytics, software, and professional services solutions. We are a global firm with an extensive local presence, serving more than 11,000 customers in 155 countries. As a community, we strive each day to approach all interactions and challenges with an open mindset, with a promise to each other and to our customers to apply excellence in everything we do, and to be united in our focus on meeting our customers’ needs.
The Data Solutions operating unit (OU) is the commercial data business of Moody’s Analytics. A substantial portion of Moody’s Analytics’ revenue comes from Data Solutions. We are comprised of more than 1000 professionals who curate, manage, and provide data to over 7,000 customers worldwide. We are best known for our Orbis database, which is the world’s most comprehensive database of public and private companies. We are also the definitive source of ratings-related data for companies and securities that have been rated by Moody’s Investors Service. There are four market-facing groups within Data Solutions: Data Applications, Data Feeds, Media Solutions, and Contributory Data Solutions. In addition, we have various strategic and operational teams that specialise in curating and sourcing data and keeping all our databases accurate, relevant, and up to date. Any analytical activity depends on reliable and accessible data, and we are proud to be a mission-critical information resource for decision makers around the world.
Our software development lifecycle is inspired by SAFe with an Agile Release Train - teams are progressively transitioning to scrum.
We constantly enhance our data quality and our data coverage. Significant enhancements are prioritised, planned, and managed as unitary projects. They follow a common data integration life cycle, and they usually involve ten to twenty contributors.
