    Responsibilities: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Design, code, test, debug and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality and operational needs. Build high quality code following unit testing and test driven development. Drive and participate in code and document reviews, mentoring team in best practices. Collaborate with peer organizations, DevOps, Support organizations on technical issues and provide guidance. Interpret and translate business needs to technical requirements and accurate estimates. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance is achieved. Work with team to troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently. Apply deep technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problems. Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable and maintainable software. Contribute to technical roadmap and technical debt elimination, balancing time, resource, and quality constraints to achieve business and strategic goals and requirements. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

    Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

    Skill Requirements: Position requires at least 2 years of experience in each of the following skills:

    • Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, and front-end frameworks like React, with the ability to craft responsive and interactive user interfaces

    • Incorporate unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) into the skill requirements solidifies the focus on quality and efficiency in the development process

    • Experience with Git for source code management, feature branching, and collaborative workflows

    • Knowledge of agile methodologies, with experience in scrum processes and using tools like JIRA for project management

    • Leverage Splunk for monitoring, searching, analyzing, and visualizing machine-generated data to support operational intelligence and gain insights into system performance issues

    • Utilize Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for building and maintaining scalable web content management solutions

    • Position requires at least some experience in each of the following skills:

    • Expertise with CI/CD tools, enabling automated testing and deployment pipelines for web applications

    • Expertise in database management like MySQL, NoSQL

    • Design and implement microservices architecture for building scalable and maintainable services, and understanding of back-end development using Node.js

    Salary transparency  

    Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $157,647 - $205,000/year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
