Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. The Policy team's mission is to promote a positive experience for users, advertisers, partners, and Googlers. You will help work toward this goal by developing, launching, and implementing fair and consistent policies that protect the online safety of our users. You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders from engineers to sales managers to attorneys, working with them to reach consensus on policy issues. You will develop content policies, support training, and manage escalations that arise in relation to policies after launch. You will build expertise in analyzing and managing risk, particularly around advertisements for heavily regulated products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Trust and Safety, and Engineering to shape product development, prioritize user experience, and ensure ads provide transparency, choice, and control.
  • Drive awareness and understanding of user-focused product policies both internally and externally, and educate on fundamental principles related to regulated industries, consumer protection, and privacy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policies for Google products, balancing risk management, user safety, product quality, and privacy.
  • Advance conversations around best practices in digital content policy and share insights from policy reviews with internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve high-profile policy escalations from users and internal teams.
