  • Completed second year of undergraduate studies in Computer Science or related field by Summer 2025.
  • Currently attending a university in North America.
  • Have taken two college computer science courses (AP or IB included).
  • Programming experience in C++, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Returning to a Bachelor's degree program with at least two years remaining in their academic program after completion of the Summer 2025 internship.
  • Ability to complete a full-time, 12-week internship between May and August or June and September 2025 (exact program dates will be provided at a later point in the process).

Student Training in Engineering Program (STEP) is a developmental internship program for first and second year undergraduate students, aimed specifically at cultivating high potential students and focuses on providing development opportunities through technical training, software engineering project work, and professional development.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $72,000-$96,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Complete a technical project where you’ll get to build solutions and get exposure to immense scale and complexity.
  • Attend technical talks by executive Googlers, gain insight into technical interview preparation, learn about Google coding practices and technologies, and develop other skills.
