Job Details

You will be part of HVDC within Hitachi Energy in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 65 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems.

In this role you will lead a team of talented Project Managers within the Valve Department of HVDC. Drive team’s performance to ensure that safety, integrity, financial and contractual requirements are met. Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities across teams.

Your responsibilities

  • Support and guide a team of Project Managers within the Valve Department. Each responsible for large HVDC valve projects all over the world.

  • You strengthen the Project Management team by hosting forums where lessons learned can be shared and team spirit be built.

  • Make sure that your team have high focus on quality. Following and enabling that we have a systematic way of working with issues and improvements.

  • Be responsible for the valve financial and project follow ups. Also make sure there is a clear framework that is being followed.

  • Lead the team towards common business goals.

  • Ensure that there is a clear framework for the financial follow up and that this is followed by each project manager. Where we have full understanding of our cost deviations in the projects.

  • Drive improvements, making sure we become more cost efficient over time.

Your background

  • You hold a University degree in Engineering or have equivalent experience from a comparable position.

  • You are a structured, efficient person who manage your time well.

  • You have a passion for people and their personal development.

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal Swedish and.

  • Good communication skills in Swedish is meritorious

  • Experience from leading others outside of work is also beneficial (sports etc).
