Collins Aerospace is on the hunt for an exceptional leader to fill the role of Associate Director, Military Procurement within our Landing Systems division located in Haltom City, TX. This is a high-impact position designed for a visionary with a proven track record in talent development and a passion for fostering a positive, inclusive culture.

As the Associate Director, you will lead a seasoned team of procurement professionals based in Haltom City, Texas and other locations while working onsite to collaborate closely with internal customers and functions. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our procurement strategies for military landing gear, ensuring we meet and exceed our supply chain goals with a sharp focus on customer needs and outcomes.

What You Will Do:

  • Drive Supply Chain excellence across customer value streams within the Landing Gear businesses.

  • Evaluate industry trends within a 3-to-7-year horizon and collaborate with value stream management on solutions to achieve mid to long term business objectives.

  • Develop and implement a cohesive supply chain strategy through spend/cost optimization, risk strategies, performance management, talent development, and diversity of supply to ensure their supply base can scale and remain capable of supporting future business needs.

  • Communicate across all levels of leadership both within Collins, its customers, and their suppliers.

  • Compliance to procurement manual policies, procedures & governance

  • Supply chain performance – perfect quality, on time, every time

  • Security of supply strategies and execution thereof

  • Develop, maintain, and execute work standards.

  • Develop and align Supply Chain initiatives in support of business goals.

  • Collaborate with SLT/ELT on long term strategies and operational targets.

  • Negotiate conflict resolution and influence supplier strategies and investment to the benefit of the business.

  • Claim resolution and support closure of customer assertions.

  • Update/Status ELT on critical supplier & customer initiatives

  • Drive stake holder buy-in for key projects and initiatives impacting commercial gear.

  • Solicit ELT support for long term supply strategies & risk abatement activities.

  • Analytics & tool development

  • Functional group collaboration to drive product producibility and yield improvements.

  • Inventory strategies - forward stocking & third-party materials management

  • Execution of critical projects and sustained performance to key program metrics (cost, quality, delivery)

  • Interfacing with Senior Leadership within the organization, customers, and within the supply base

  • Partnering with internal customers and support organizations to drive supply chain activities.

  • Supplier performance- On Time Delivery, Buffer Attainment, Perfect Quality, & Delivery corrective action boards

  • Integration and coordination of Commodity & Business Unit Strategies

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:  https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in supply chain management

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in the management of personnel

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
