We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer I to join our Material and Process Engineering team.  The Material and Process Engineering within McKinney, TX drives business success by providing engineering expertise to solve today’s problems in multiple domains.  The process engineer is an enabler where engineering solutions had to be offered both in reactive and proactive mode on a day-to-day basis.  Your end goal should be to generate a manufacture process that can be streamlined and executed with minimal interruptions, this expectation resides with both assembly manufacturing and testing capabilities.

As a Process Engineer I, you are expected to work in ISO7 cleanroom environment where all the current and upcoming EO/IR programs are going take in place, it is also expected that the process that you are developing can be successfully integrated into cleanroom without causing degradation to the health of the cleanroom environments. 

What you will do:

  • As a process engineer you will need to commit daily production supports, ensure process streamline and continuously seek process improvements that can reduce cost, rework frequencies and HPU
  • Abilities to utilize CORE methodologies to factory throughput obstacles
  • Utilizing agile problem-solving technique to resolve issues efficiently  
  • To support program integration from design to FRP
  • This role is extremely hands-on in the cleanroom  
  • The role requires to be self-initiative
  • Be a part of rapid response team that address factory manufacture process interruption

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access required information
  • Experience with chemical adhesive material

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, material science
  • Ability to support program integration from design to FRP
  • Experience with Design of Experiment (DOE) troubleshooting skills
  • Able to present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Demonstrated multi-discipline collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervisions
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with data-driven approaches
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking capabilities  
  • Demonstrated mechanical attributes

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
