is seeking Embedded Software Engineers. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Rolling Meadows, IL.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Navigation, Targeting, & Survivability (NT&S) Division.
Basic Qualifications: 
This requisition may be filled at either a level 1 or a level 2.  Basic qualifications for an Embedded Software Engineer 1 are a Bachelor’s Degree. Basic qualifications for a Embedded Software Engineer 2 are a Master’s Degree.
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution
   

• Be majoring in or having majored in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
   

• A final DoD Secret clearance is required to start.
   

• The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs 
   

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
   

• A current/active DoD Secret clearance
   

• *Familiarity, educational background or experience in: *
   

• Structured Programming (C), Object Oriented Programming (C++, Java), and/or
   

• Software architecture (design patterns, multithreaded programming, objected oriented design), and/or
   
• Operating system concepts for embedded systems, and/or
   
• Software development methodologies or frameworks (Waterfall Methodology or Agile), and/or
   
• Version control (Git, GitLab’, GitHub, or Bitbucket, etc.), and/or
   
• Agile software planning tools (Jira or Rally, etc.)
   

Salary Range:

• Embedded Software Engineer 1: $68,800-$103,200

• Embedded Software Engineer 2: $83,300-$124,900

Salary Range: $68,800 - $103,200

Salary Range 2: $83,300 - $124,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
