Summary:

In this role, you will draw upon demonstrated pharmacy practice experience to accurately assess pharmacy operating environments, review and prioritiaze member challenges and design operational plans to achieve efficient, high value pharmacy programs. You will also maintain existing and generate new pharmacy program opportunities by coordinating consultants, leadership, and subject matter experts (SME) to meet stakeholder needs through the execution of contracting, advisory, compliance, policy, and analytics services.  You will position the pharmacy enterprise to provide optimal value to the organization through adoption of industry leading practices in project management, conducting pharmacy operational assessments, and implementation of high priority opportunities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct practical assessments of pharmacy and medication management programs in member health systems, infusion centers, ambulatory surgery centers and associated provider offices and clinics.

  • Utilize industry leading practices, pharmaceutical care standards and benchmark comparisons to develop strategic operating plans that will position the pharmacy program for optimal value, efficiency, and service excellence.

  • Develop project work plans and provide hands on implementation support to achieve high priority objectives.

  • Meet or exceed contractual value targets for all assigned projects.

  • Achieve excellent member satisfaction scores at the completion of an engagement.

  • Create and deliver influential communications with clarity and confidence to health system senior executives.

  • Support VIZIENT consulting practice activities, including development, launch and implementation of new or improved services and products.

  • Support member proposal development in collaboration with the VIZIENT management team and corporate sales executives, serving as a subject matter expert throughout the sales process.

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Degree required, Masters in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience in pharmacy required, preferably as Chief Pharmacy Officer, Director of Pharmacy Services, or Pharmacy Operations Manager at a system or region level.

  • Experience in Health System Pharmacy Consulting strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated record of achievement and meeting goals preferred.

  • Leadership, presentation, and cross-functional interaction skills with a proven track record of delivering results needed.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $223,200.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
